Vengeance. Reincarnated.
Before you get too close, we should caution you, this was a car that was designed to make hearts race and jaws drop. It is a modern reinterpretation of the GT40 race car — a car that was built for one purpose, and one purpose only: to beat Ferrari at its own game.
The Ford GT stood alone for its unique blend of throwback design, and ahead-of-its-time technology. Its center-mounted engine and carbon fiber seats were a nod to its racing heritage, while its superplastic-formed frame and push-button start signaled what was yet to come.
Lauded by Ford motorsports fans around the globe, the GT was a model that defied convention. One that mixed the old with the new in such a memorable way, that it became a cultural icon. It inspired characters from the Transformers toy line and was featured on the cover of the Gran Turismo 4 video game.
Supply was never able to keep up with demand for the GT. As a result, only 4,038 were made. This GT is also one of the few that includes all four factory options: an upgraded audio system, forged aluminum wheels, gray-painted brake calipers, and a full-length racing stripe.
