1963 Fiat 500D Transformable
The second car to wear the Fiat 500 name was the Fiat Nuova 500. Introduced in 1957, the Nuova 500, or cinquecento, was a family of compact city cars available in a variety of two door body styles, as well as a number of trim levels. Small, lightweight, and powered by a range of two cylinder engines, the Nuova 500 became an automotive icon lauded for its style and practicality. A wide range of Nuova 500 variants were produced, including the notable 500 Jolly, and the coachbuilt Vignale Gamine. The Giardiniera wagon variant was under Fiat production until 1966, when production was shifted to the Autobianchi brand until the end of Fiat Nouva 500 production in 1975.
